Tova Beck-Friedman’s twentieth century "monoliths" echo primitive sentiments. She asks us to join her in the reverence of unknown deities and to commemorate events that have not yet occurred. Her monuments are self-sufficient, as are all works of art; they are also about ourselves. She gives shape to our desire to celebrate our own spirit.
